We have two teenagers, Tom age 17 and Katie age 14. They are busy with sports and school, or should I say school and sports. We enjoy getting to Illini football and basketball games when we can fit them in. We get to Champaign when we can to see my parents and my husband Tom's parents. We also try to get out to Tucson Arizona in the winter where my parents go from November to May. This summer we will celebrate 25 years of marriage. Oh my gosh how did the time go so quickly! City: Davenport State/Prov.: IA Country: USA Occupation: Museum Curator/Archaeologist Marital Status: Divorced What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: After college I worked as a field archaeologist for 10 years for a firm out of Milwaukee. I was married to an archaeologist from Germany for several years, but the marriage ended in divorce with no children. After that, I moved to Iowa and began working as a museum professional. I am currently the Curator of History and Anthropology at the Putnam Museum of History and Natural Science. I recently curated an award-winning exhibit called Bloodlines: Our Ties to the Civil War. Over the summer I did a motorcycle exhibit featuring some amazing historical bikes. My latest exhibit is The Science of Ghost Hunting, which teaches critical thinking and allows the visitor to use some of the equipment used by Ghost Hunters. I think I have the best job in the world, becuase I never quit learning and have the opportunity to work with a collection of artifacts from all around the world. I also write an article for the Quad Cities Magazine. Last year and this year I was honored to be included in Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women. Three years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I have been doing very well and have had no permanent physical damage. I've been working on restoring my 1938 cottage, relaxing with my cats, and working on geneology. |

Loads of football, baseball and basketball games. Derek played basketball at UCSB and now works with Herff-Jones. Doug is attending the local jc and Dan attends Westmont College and is playing basketball. We don't miss many of his games. I started my real estate career 3 years ago and have been working since. Didn't know it, but r.e. agents work 24/7. Travelling with Bob....going to Switzerland and Bahamas in Oct. and Nov. Thank God everyday we have each other....Bob was diagnoised with a malignant brain tumor in 2000. He is doing outstanding. Brandon is currently going to the Art Institute, San Bernardino where he is furthering his education in the culinary field. Krystal our youngest is attending the local junior college for her general education courses and plans to transfer to a four year where she will be completing her studies in the educational field. Bobby worked for 25 years at Rockwell/Boeing where after that time the Anaheim facility was slowing being sold off. He currently works for Nestle. I have been working for a privately held insurance brokerage firm thats market include school district, municipalities, and hospitals to name a few. The children our still at home and we have moved my mother in several years ago due to her health. We enjoy taking trips to San Diego, which is the first place we think of when we have a free weekend. |

I worked in a great clinic in Texas for about 11 years, then when we went to San Diego, I was with a specialty hospital, and now that we are in WA, I will be looking for work. We try to spend as much time with my son as possible. From Beth : I have been married to the same man for the past 22 years. My son(with whom I was pregnant my senior year) is about to turn 30. He just left the Marines and got married last year. We are hoping for some grandkids soon..... My husband and I like to road and mountain bike and I am a runner. We do alot of camping and traveling when we can. We have 3 chihuahua's and 5 cats, it comes with the work territory. I would have more if I could, maybe some day. We hope to move back to Texas when the opportunity presents itself, it has become home for us. |
